Children With Parents Who Are Addicted To Their Cell Phones Affect Children's Development(From the article)
How many hours a day do you use your cell phone?
Be honest. How often do you scroll through social media, watch a cute video, read an article, check the weather, play games, or google something interesting? How often do you scroll just standing in line, because you are bored or you just do it out of habit?
Technology is everywhere. It has changed our world and it is here to stay. Endless information is available at our fingertips. We practically don’t even have to leave our house anymore if we don’t want to. We can take care of anything on our cellphone.
What are your thoughts on this?
On average I clock 6 hours a day and I've picked up my phone 166 times over the last 2 days. Most of that time is spent listening to Spotify or watching YouTube. I tend to scroll when I get bored but a lot it feels like I'm falling into a routine.
My life revolves around the technology I own. I use my phone very often when I'm out in public and not spending time with friends, and sometimes I talk to this LGBT+ discord group I'm a part of. Throughout the day, this is just guessing, I scroll on my phone when I'm bored at least 3 hours worth of the day, on Discord for about 1-2 hours a day, and when I'm not on my phone I'll be on my computer or Xbox, at least 4 hours each. If I delete discord or burn my Xbox, I might start to have plenty of time for guitar....
Everyday is about 6-8 hours on my phone and between 60-200 pickups. Even though I do these things, distancing away from my device for at least 30 minutes to an hour is usually what I do. A phone is great for many things, but it shouldn't take away from getting a breath of fresh air.
I usually pick up my phone like every 15 or 20 minutes, so i pick up the phone between 50-300 times a day. I think it's too much. The times I don't use my phone, I usually be playing video games or doing homework. A phone is very useful but at the same time it's not, we can spend too many time on it and we won't do the things we have to do.
Technically this is correct but it doesn't mean we have to stay on our phones all the time
i use my phone about 6-7 hours a day
I actually don't spend too much time since it broke i play a ton of games but before prolly a lot of the day wasted on both though.
right there are a lot of things that does not require our phones but, i would usually say using the phones are a little thing you can do on the side but clearly its more than just a thing to do one the side.
I'd say about 5 or less hours, nowadays, is how much time I spend on my phone. I have others things to keep me occupied at times like playing soccer with my brothers, working and school.
Sometimes we do end up spending more time on our phones than we intended to. And I like that last sentence you wrote, it really is true.
To be honest I be on phone most of the day except when i go play some soccer or do some exercise.
And sometimes I pick up my phone for no reason but I guess I could agree with him technology id advancing in so many ways. It can help us or affect us. Either way it's there.
I'm on the phone at an estimate 3 hours per day, there are days I might be on it more. During the day I work, which doesn't give me time to be on it. I do tend to pick it up a lot, to check on time, change the song, or google stuff. technology is getting more advanced as the days go by. it has it's pros and its cons.
I use my phone everyday except when i go outside and play soccer.
I open social media about every 30 mins because im not really on it as much as i was before.
technology is advancing and it will be easier to do many things in the future.
Maybe an hour. I will sometimes play solitaire or look up some stuff for school, but I’m mostly on my computer from about 7:15 am 2:30 pm nonstop and then work on schoolwork, zoom calls with my TI or music instructor on and off til about 8 pm or somewhere close to that. I think that it's good to be outside and I love to and be one with nature (when it's not cold) and it also isn’t very good to be looking at a screen for hours a day. Kinda wish I was back out west where it was warm, neighbors a mile away, and had bad signal. I think life was better back in the day. Well, around flip phone times lol
damienn - between school and work, I'm surprised you have that much time to spend on your phone
I feel like I spend 4-5 hours on my phone I'm more active than sitting down looking at a screen, besides I like looking at and the world in person and not on a screen
That's kind of like me but instead I play basketball or football
I use my cellphone all the time the only time I am not glued to it is when i'm at work or someone is talking to me. I use my phone on average for about 8 hours and 54 mins daily which is not great. I use technology all the time in my daily life.
I use my phone 5-7 hours a day, with around 60 unlocks a day. A lot of my life revolves around technology, whether I'm learning something, or playing online with my friends. I tend to use my home computer more than my phone when I'm not doing school work.
I spend roughly 8 hours a day on my phone on average, much more than that on my playstation. i scroll through social media whenever im bored give or take 3 hours out of the day.
I be on my phone a lot on snapchat and on tic tok I think I be on my phone for 8 hours
I use my phone an average of 7 hours a day talking on the phone or watching youtube.
Im always on my phone like almost the whole time i get home from school because my phone is an escape for me..
I use my phone for 3 hours a day and I don't use social media its very rare for me to play games and i only watch games.
in total I use my phone for 5hrs and 45mins but most of that time is repsonding to messages or just scrolling on tiktok while waiting and Netflix
I'm on my phone for about 7 hours sometimes on social media, iTunes, and youtube. When I am bored I sometimes scroll through my phone.
I am not going to lie I am like 4-6 hours a day on my phone scrolling to social media watching videos, texting a friend, or just listening to music. Although I do like being on there very much i tend to leave my phone alone for about two hours a day go run outside spend time with my family or just read a book. Technology does have a big impact in us, but it shouldn't take over our whole life.
I usually just go on my phone or play video games when I am bored or just have nothing to do.
cool, but you should probably go run >:)
I use my phone all the time wherever I go. And my thoughts about people being on phone all the time and just using out of habit or just because your bored are that phones has it's pros and cons. For example, being on the phone may effect the vision or be too addictive that they won't have time for other things like go outside breathing fresh air. Children that are too young are having phones and it is a problem because they can get addicted at a young age. The good things about phones is that it is very resourceful this device can do a lot of useful things for example google. It can tell time, check weather, make phone calls, and so much more.
I pick my phone up a few times a day, mostly to text someone back or call someone. Most of the time I forget I have one when I'm having a good time. I do be on it a lot at school when I finish work and have nothing else to do. My problem is sleeping more than my phone, lol.
I definably think that children and adults should avoid overuse of technology because it decreases attention spans.
in total I use my phone for 5hrs and 45mins but most of that time is repsonding to messages or just scrolling on tiktok while waiting and Netflix
That's a lie you on your phone for 10 hours a day.
The only time I'm really on my phone is if I watch console repair videos or listen to music so if music counts then all day bc I multi task. For videos it depends on the day.
to be honest, it does affect minors a lot these days to the point where it can sometimes get in the way of school and life outside of school, i'm one of those minors being on their phone at least 12 hours a day at times, though it is helpful for communication with family, helping to get answers, etc.
I don't think it's good that we use our phones a lot especially adults. Because if adults get addicted to their phones they will only give off the influence to their kids that being on their electronics all the time is good. Adults also tend to pay more attention to their phones then their own kids. If adults don't pay attention to their kids they can get depressed because they feel like they aren't being heard. It's okay for adults to be on their electronics sometimes but they should also pay attention to their kids.
I aggree with this, one thing that I really don't like is how most of out parents will put us down for being on out phone so much, while sitting there on Facebook or something.
I be on my phone for about 6 hour or 7 hours just to watch videos and play games on it because I'm mostly bored at home
I agree with you because if both children and adults are always on their phone they might think just because they are together they are spending time with each other. Even if they're in the same room together it doesn't necessarily mean that they are spending time with each other because you're not communicating with each other.
I'm on my phone for about 6 hours a day i wish i wasn't but the past 2 yeays ive been addicted to my phone
I'm on my phone for about 6 hours a day i wish i wasn't but the past 2 yeays ive been addicted to my phone
im on my phone for about 6 hours a day i wish i wasn't but i am.
I agree with the article in some terms as parents should take more time to raise their child instead of being on their phone a lot.
I use my phone a lot. I watch youtube videos and play games on my computer.. I think if the parents are addicted to technology than it can affect the child. Kid especially if they are only kids and don't have anyone to play with so they turn to technology for company.
I agree that PARENTS and KIDS should limit their screen time, but it would be hard for me to do.
Well to be honest I thing that parents who spend most of their time on a phone shouldn't have kids. Now, I am not saying this because I don't feel as they don't deserve to, but a child requires attention. Have a child can be the most wonderful event to have as a couple so there for you should stay to taking care of that child. But on the other hand lets say you took care you of your kid and love him (or her) but when they turn four and they start going to school then your habbit start again. You start getting into your phone again and you start spending hours on your phone. At that point what is running their mind? That my kid is old enough to know what to do by themselves. At that point the kid wonders why his (or hers) parent are not paying as much attention to them as before. See what I am try to say is yes have a phone is nice and all, but have a child aquires you do to look less at a device and more on real life. If not your children will end up doing the same mistake as you did, and that not something people should be proud. I now that I am still grow in live but I know when it time to put everything I have down and take care of those how need it. I how that people will start see the real life, and not a life inside a phone.
Same i dont use it when i work out. It helps me keep peace
I'm on my phone mostly through the day which is like 7-8 hours, I be scrolling through social media for a good 4 hours and the other 3-4 hours I just be watching Netflix or, be texting relatives. When I am bored I don't get on my phone at all cause that is going to make my boredom even worse.
I don't really use my phone. Sometimes I even lose my own phone in my house. If I use my phone it would be just a minute, for texting. when I do my chores I put music or put video and just hear it, I don't just stay sitting in the couch doing nothing. A year ago it was different. My boyfriend and I lived in different houses, we used to text every time, talk every time and we even watched movies until midnight. I, in that time didn't let go of my phone. I used to get crazy when I lost it. But now we live together and I don't worry about my phone anymore. XD
I don't have a phone so I'm not never on it
To be honest I am usually on my gaming computer about almost all day...
to be honest, I am on my phone a lot, but when you spend moths at a time, and stare at a laptop screen for 8 hours a day, t kind of becomes normal. And it's normal to do a normal thing. Also, when you grow up being told to go watch tv or play on your phone when you told your parents you ever board, its really normal to most of us. So, yes, a lot of us may be addicted to our phones, but can a lot of us really help it?
I agree. We are all on our phones a lot, but growing up like this, can we really help it? I don't think so. Also a lot of people hate on other people for being on electronics, especially older people, but I bet they couldn't go a day without watching Nasar and being on Facebook. Also, what I am typing right now, is simply a place holder and or place filler, same thing because they are synonyms. I like synonyms.
I agree with this. A lot of people don't like that others are on their phones a lot,
I agree with this. Falling into a cycle of waking up, getting on phone, going to school going on phone, free time, going on phone, go home go on phone, and so on. Do a lot of us like this? no. Most of us don't even really care, and I can understand that completely. I mean, it is 2021, and right now in this time, being on your phone that much seems like a normal thing, and it IS normal to do a normal thing, So should we be worried about it? It honestly depends on your own view on this take.
I agree with this one-hundred percent. A lot of what of what I am about to write, is simply a space filler, so i can get a good grade for this assignment. So just bare with me. Also, hello Mr. Matthews. Continuing on with this topic, In my opinion, there is simply so many possible things that can be said on this and shared with other people, that there really is no right or wrong answer or thought on this, because everyone has their own morals, and you can't really judge others for that. Thank you for your time.
0 hours. I don't have a phone. It'd also be pretty bad if a parent focused more on their phone than on their children.
I spend 30 minutes to an hour on my phone, I don't really use my phone unless it's music playing or I get a call. I don't scroll through social media when i'm bored because social media isn't for me so I just go to sleep or find something to do.
Good for you, it is bad to be on your phone for too long.
my mom stays on her phone alot
I use my phone for about 5 hours sometimes I use it to watch movies
or when I'm bored I watch YouTube.
I don't think it' very good for parents to be addicted their phones. Most of the time it ends up in neglecting their own kids. Which can lead to the child acting bad for attention.
I agree with you. I believe this can lead to bad behavior.
I don't use my phone only when it is something important like news, calls.
i used to have a phone but i gave it away because being on a phone based on addiction is bad and it could lead to bad behavior
I don't have screen time on my phone at the moment. Im sure I've clocked a lot of hours though.
I scroll a lot too it gets boring every once in a while though.
I think it does effect a childs development when a parent is addicted their cellphone because the child isn't going to be able to learn how to communicate and learn basic skills if the parent is too busy scrolling through social media or texting all day. Also this may lead to the child feeling unwanted or no loved because the parent rather be on their phone than spending time with their kid.
I use my phone for 5 hours i don't really use social media i only play games and watch YouTube and tiktok
Normally i spend time on my phone but if im in school I dont use it but all together i might spend like 7-8 houres a day on it.
i use my phone 5 hours a day i just be scrolling through TikTok if not texting. so i would say that phones are addicted
I use my phone an average of 7 hours a day talking on the phone
I totally agree, I don't stay on my phone a lot either because I just don't like social media.
im on my phone alot mostly texting or facetime my girlfriend...but what ever chance i get when im notdoing something i go on it
im on my phone for close to 6 hours a day, most of it is spent on social media but i also spend a good amount of time shopping on amazon, when i am bored i play games as well
I think that kids raised in homes that their parents are addicted to their cell phones is a very large cause to distance in family relationships because kids will want to spend time with their parents but they will be too busy on their phones to listen and make their kids less attentive to them.
I am on my phone a lot mostly because my mom is always busy reading something or busy with something.

I am on my phone for like 5-6 hours a day just on snapchat, tiktok, youtube, and steaming sites. Must of the time I just scroll cause I am board.
But I do agree with the article and feel as it would affect there kids by not paying them mind. They would also do the same thing as there parents and learn to do the same thing.
yeah i think the same think and feel as the kids grow up they will do the same as there parents
Usually, I would be on my phone watching videos or playing on my laptop which is around 6-8 hours on my laptop or on my phone.
I don't really use my phone that often I usually 2 hours there is mostly nothing that really interests me I'm more into hobbies.
I'm on my phone for about 7 hours sometimes on social media, iTunes, and youtube. When I am bored I sometimes scroll through my phone.
I don't really use my phone I usually use it for 2 hours I don't really find that much interesting.
Everyday is about 5-6 hours, i normally try to keep the amounnt im on myphone down, especsially when im doing activties with other people.
I use my phone for about 5 hours sometimes I use it to play games...
hardly ever i always have my phone taken and it hasn't been charged for a while
I use 11 hrs of my life to be on the phone. I usually get on it when I'm bored. I mostly play games or text my friends.
I'm on my phone for about 8-9 hours because sometimes I'm bored and got nothing to do but sometimes I use my phone to see youtube videos or hear music on Spotify. Usually not often on social media cause I have no one to talk to who or I just sometimes like to be dry and not text anyone.
weekday I only use it 6-8 hours weekends about 3 hours
I agree with teh article i feel kids could do way more in life if there was no phones involed
On a daily, I average 8 hr and 30 mins, with 379 pickups a day. Most of the time listening to music, being on Instagram, and youtube. Having a phone is useful and addictive at the same, u can waste hours of your day just scrolling on an app.
Im on my phone for like 6 hours for youtube, snapcht, instagram i agree about this article because it does affect child development brings wht they need away from them
Average 9. i have no life outside of discord tbh
Yes a lot of people are obsessed with their phones and tablets but their are people who aren't as addicted as everyone thinks. Phones do make life easier with communication and directions and what's happening in the world
no im hardly ever on my phone
I pick up my phone a lot except Saturdays
I think social media is evill.
i think social media is a dark place
i use my phone like 6 hours a day to entertain myself and to use it to look up stuff
I am on my phone about 10 hours a day and I do many different things on social media. I believe the article and I believe that parents addicted to cell phones do not properly take care of their children. Some parents also force phones into their child's faces which could make their entire lives revolve around cell phones. I believe that children should have a healthy amount of time around technology.
taht mobile devices destroy our society and they are an addiction
Kids won't be addicted to cell phones if their parents don't give their kids phones at a young age.
I use my cellphone 7-9 hours a day
I think that cellphones could be addicted and a problem to children while growing up
I'm on my phone alot during the day.
im on my phone 10 hours a day, mostly on tiktok
im on my phone anyhwhere from 4-12 hours a day, I SXROLll a good amount BUT NOT TOO MUCH I DONT THINK BEStie, ipHONE WOW Iphone
Technology really has changed everything, it affects our lives for best and the worst at the same time. There is a time where technology is going to take over, everything will be very much different.
Yes, cellphones are adddictions for teens and it does affect them in every day activities in their lives. They get affected in school, at work, even in their house. They don't pay attention to anything. It even gets worse when they're driving. Cellphones are extremly important but they're great danger for us. They are very useful but there are thousands of disadvantages from cellphones.
I am unable to track how long I'm on my phone when I'm able. I'm doing many things on there yet I am doing nothing at all in the world. I feel immeasurable guilt sometimes because I don't know what I will do with my life after I graduate, but I get sucked back into the rabbit hole by watching Peanut Butter Jelly Time for 10 hours.
Mostly when I use my phone, it's to look up things, reply to messages, or turn my hotspot on. Scrolling through media is kind of boring, so I don't like to do it. I tend to play more video games on my console and PC rather than on my phone. I agree that phone addiction in parents and kids is not good for development, because when parents set an example of being on their phone, children can get irritable and upset when they want to interact. It's frustrating when you try to talk to your mom or dad or show them something but they'd be too busy scrolling on Instagram or Facebook. I've been using my phone less because I don't like the feeling of being bored without using it.
I am addected to my TV and other eltronics
I also watch a lot of youtbe
I'm on my phone for almost 8 hours a day just doing random things.
I am on my phone for a good portion of the day. It has become a necessity to be able to communicate with the people around me
OH WE KNOW TAYDEN WE KNOW
I struggle with spending too much time on my phone it is not a good thing I average between 4-6 hours everyday a week.
that is sooo bad briiiii!!!!
I spend way to much time on my phone I think that people should only spend 4-6 hours on their phones.
i think people should put the phone down sometimes and experience the world
On average I am on my phone whether its tiktok or just texting. Its almost became a way of life for me and very many in my generation.
Although that can be good, it can also form a tolerance where you cant go anywhere without your cell phone.
im on my phone around 7 hours a day watching youtube or texting people
I spend a good majority of my day and or life using social media or my phone. It can get pretty distracting. If i had to estimate I would say I spend 12-15 hours of my day on my phone.
last time I checked about 13 hours a day but it is mostly on the weekends for games reading and music which can affect children all the time and can lead to a bad time for the kid
Some days i'm on my phone all day others i'm on it barley, it depends on what i'm doing or where i am but I do find myself a lot scrolling through endlessly for hours sometimes, I know it effects people even when they see their parents using their phones all the time it makes them think its ok to do all the time.
It's just a phone, who cares.
Phones are cool, I like my phone.
I am on my phone for an average of 3 and a half hours a day on my phone.
I don't use my phone all that often anymore, I stopped using my phone as much in my everyday life and noticed a lot of improvements.
Technology is advancing fast, it has its pros and cons, but it is what it is, and we all need to get used to it.
Yeah I use my other devices more than my Phone, such as my playstaion or PC.
i use my phone more often than i thought i did, but at the same time i really didn't realize it, probably from the sheer amount of boredom i am experiencing, probably because of how much my parents use their phones all the time
I don't really use my phone mainly I use it when we are go somewhere sometimes, so when I am at home and sometimes when we go out to places that are close then I am not on and when i do it would be for like 10mins and the farther we go the more like I will use/be on the phone but just playing games and watching Youtube would be all I would used and the most amount of time on other than google chrome, and up to like 2mins to 5mins on the PlayStore when want to find something to download and play the game/app, ect. so pretty-much the total would be around like 1-hour or so. sometimes more and sometimes less but pretty-much an 1-hour.
I'm mostly on my phone playing dragon ball legend, honkai star rail, and dokkan but I do get really bored on my phone if I don't have any idea on what i should do also I'm on my phone for half of the day
my daily average screentime is 9 hours which I feel isn't that bad just because I know there are people out there that have a daily average screentime of 24 hours. 💀 so far, I've used my phone for only an hour just because of school but that hour is just spotify, snapchat, and twitter so yea, not that bad fr
I'm on my phone for 5 hour watching cold cases but I think with parents who are addicted to their phones will have a bad affect on their kids who will not have a strong bound with their parents.
I spend about 5 hours on my phone daily, it doesn't really bother me because I'm so used to it and it's considered normal now I guess.
100% honest, if I'm not on my PC I'm 100% on my phone. I'm not super crazed on it, I don't like using many social media for many reasons but I would much rather have a thoughtful, meaningful conversation rather than be on it 24/7. In the example of being in line, I feel uneasy around strangers so I often go on my phone to occupy my mind before I can go next. I do, however, use it often to talk to friends online and to answer my unending questions. I have an obsession with several subjects that I have as hobbies including; anything tech-related, art, 3D design and animation, and psychology. So it's more "if" I need my phone rather than "want" it. Besides a mind-resting break of course!
I will be on my phone for 3-4 hours sometimes on Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, or watching movies and it hurts my eyes and that's why I don't be on my phone too much now. I recommend children to not be on the phone too much it can damage their vision, not learning, not sleeping well, and all that kind of stuff.
I never noticed how much my parent were on their phones until I put my phone down for a bit and I relized how much of a effect it has on me.
I'm on my phone for like 6 to 8 hours a day listening to music or watching tiktok
Im usually on my phone for around 5 hours a day, usually listening to music, texting, or scrolling on social media.
Whenever im bored i just scroll on my phone i spend about 3 hours till i get bored of that then i just have to go find something else to do
Personally, I feel like cell phones are really the worst type of distraction we have nowadays, and some students really don't pay attention to anything other than their phones.
I agree, Phones are useful; however, many children in today's society are to addicted to their phones, especially younger children, it is a growing issue that needs to be dealt with.
I'm on my phone for about 6 hours a day I am on social media for 3 hours, and I'm on games for 3 hours also.
Usually I'd say 3-6 hours, but it really just depends on how I'm feeling. Like if I'm bored, I scroll through my phone and entertain myself. Most of the time, when I'm on my phone I'm reading.
i use my phone daily for a total of 8 hours. Having too much screen time can change a childhood in a good and bad way it can make you miss a lot of good moments.
my daily average on my phone is 7 hours and i mostly use instagram and my music app all day when im bored
im on my phone for about 10 hours a day 5 hours on snap
other five on tiktok
i use it like half the day i mostly do it everyday yes technology is everywhere one day we are gonna get switched by a machine
i agree because if im not on my phone im on the game and if im not on the game im on my phone
i agree with you because sometimes your bored and got nothing to do so i just be on my phone
On average I'm on my phone for about 14 hours which makes sense in my head because I'm on my phone from the minute I wake up to minute I'm about to sleep. I also pick up my phone at least 231 times, and get 180-658 notifications a day. When I'm on my phone I'm mostly instagram, tiktok, vsco, and apple music.
i'm always on my phone, i use my phone to distract my mind, but i could go hours without my phone i think, but only when i don't is when im doing something to keep me busy or im sleep.
I personally feel like i'm not on my phone as much; i'm a graphic designer so I tend to be on a screen for work! but normally i'm not on my phone as much due to the fact that i got into writing a lot recently because it helps me express myself a lot! I say 3-4 hours and for my screen time when it comes to my graphic design stuff it varies! I personally agree on most of the things that are said on the article! The article basically states the reasons why we're so addicted and what it does to us. I feel like the phone addiction getting to young ids is a really bad thing due to the fact that that's all they wanna do nowdays. Parents being addicted to their phones is also a risk due to the fact that it can influence their children into the phone addiction its a huge problem for the future.
The child would learn from the parents and get addicted
This topic has many pros and cons. We rely on our phones to communicate with people remotely and stay updated on global events but, they are also addictive and can cause mental health problems with social media.
what do you do to not be on your phone as much?
Children with parents who are addicted to their phones are affected. It affects them by leading them to believe that it is normal. With the parents being on their phones the child could believe that it could be normal behavior and follow.
I'm on phone 3hrs a day. I most play basketball or football with my friend.
I spend at least 2 hours per day on any electronics and i think that everyone should not be on any electronics and should be doing other things such as playing sports and at least should be on electronics for 30 minutes at max.
I am on my phone for like 4hrs a day. I most play sports or stay after school
I'm on my phone for like hours but I mostly use it to listen to music, but if I'm not then I help around the house or something to distract me so I'm not on my phone much.
am on any electronics aleast 1 hour 30minutes and the rest of the time I am doing chores or going to church I think that we should not spend a lot on phones instead should do somthing acaademic.
I think that it is what good to distract you instead of on your phone
anyone should do sports and it is a good time to be on your phone and I would do the same thing as you
In my opinion, parents who are addicted to their cell phones can significantly damage their children's development. When parents are constantly on their phones, they are neglecting their children and depriving them of much-needed attention and interaction, which can have a detrimental impact on their emotional and social growth. Children require regular and quality time with their parents to learn essential communication and problem-solving skills. Furthermore, parents' constant phone usage can make their children feel unimportant and neglected, leading to long-lasting negative effects on their self-esteem and mental health. Hence, it is crucial for parents to prioritize their children's needs and development over their own screen time and to be more mindful of their phone usage around their children.
I totally agree due to the fact that nowadays AI can pretty much do anything that has to do with systems. AI being really advanced now is scary due to the fact that it's barley been worked on and it already has affected so much on the world.
im on my phone for a average 5 hours and 30 min a week and i dont really use my phone for social media just for watching and sports
Unless you want your eyes to be bad take a break on your phone every now and then
On average I clock 8 to 9 hours a day. Most of that time is spent listening to SoundCloud or watching YouTube. I tend to scroll when I get bored and just scroll through my socials to cut by time.
I definatly use my phone entirely too much. It is a horrible habit. I also am so used to it that I feel lost without it. On the weekends my phone is used over 12 hours a day!!! WOW!! My favorite things to do are scroll on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.
