In the future, we may be seeing widespread usage of AI in the field of agriculture. Even so, this article is quite skeptical of the idea despite acknowledging that it'd help feed many people and revolutionize the way farmers use their land. It states "potential" flaws in the agricultural data and the "possibility" that they could place productivity over environmental factors, along with the idea that it'd only help large scale farmers. The first two of these problems are largely hypothetical and have little reason to be believed as true as no examples of such have been reported and it assumes that such flaws in the AI's programming are present in the first place. The third problem which assumes that poor farmers would be unable to use them is also quite far fetched considering that such technology has been becoming increasingly affordable in countries around the world. Overall, the benefits of agricultural AI far outweighs the potential negatives that may be brought about by the technology in the future. As for why I'm interested in this article, I find its skepticism of agricultural AI largely misplaced as a whole.

The usage of technology is 100% needed in agriculture. They do have AI that can track the rows of crops. Tractors with all sorts of new technology are pushed out every day.

I think that technology in agriculture is very smart and necessary because it certainly helps with efficiency and time and also helps get more food out for people to consume. I feel that every other industry in the world has upgraded in ways of using technology so why should agriculture be left behind in the new innovative ways!
