Project Mayhem, the Air Force’s secret hypersonic bomber, would be an air-breathing Mach 10 replacement for the SR-71.
The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory recently awarded a $334 million contract to several engineering companies, including Draper, to oversee the designs, prototypes and tests of Project Mayhem.

Thats very interesting, They announced the new B-21 Raider a few months back. My personal belief is that when the USA unravels a new piece of technology, it is already obsolete. Let's take the SR-71 for example, the SR-71 was flying around Fort Nellis and Area 51 for a few months or even years before they announced it. Hopefully, they can stick with it and make this hypersonic bomber.
