A few days ago, Mr. O'Shea sent out an email asking us (the teachers) to answer some questions. As a teacher, my point of view is unique. I'm curious as to what your point of view is, as a student.

1. What is DISRESPECT to you?
2. What do you consider to be DEFIANCE?
3. What does DISRUPTION in your classes look like?
4. How do your teachers handle this in class?

Please answer all four questions. Please DO NOT use any names of students or teachers.

1. I think disrespect is whenever somebody offends or to be rude to someone
2. I think defiance is when you do the opposite of what someone tells you to do.
3. Disruption in my classes is normally people talking or someone on their phone.
4. Normally the teacher would just tell the kids to stop talking or tell them to put your phone away. Some teachers might be stricter and take your phone.

1) Disrespect means when you don't listen to someone and choose to do the exact opposite of what they tell you to do instead of listening to them
2) When you resist and disagree with what is told to you
3) Disruption is usually when a student causes a scene in the class and grabs everyone's attention is a bad way
4) The teacher usually handles this by sending the student out or trying to calm down the student, and they usually end up writing them up

I think whats disrespectful is that when students act dumb and that also my answer to defiance. When students say or act dumb is a really good disruption how my teachers handle this is just like a everyday thing.

1. Disrespect is when you are told to not do something, but then do so, or get smart with said person.
2. Ignoring a blatant command given from a Superior.
3. A disruption is something that prohibits your fellow piers from learning from the teacher.
4. It has been statistically proven by students from Harvard University that 90% of teachers will not do a single thing to prevent this other then give an empty threat, while 3% will ignore the student completely, and let them continue, and the other 7% will warn the student, then go through with their threat of punishment if they don't take it seriously.

Being Disrespectful is disregarding and being ignorant to someone.
Defiance is more or less not following rules and not listening.
Disruption in a class is students not listening to a teacher and not doing what was told.
and how they may handle a situation is sending the student out of class and writing them up.

3. Disruption looks like others doing something the teacher doesn't want them to, talking while the teachers talking, and usually playing around
