Reserchers at the National University of Singpore have created an artifical brain for robots that's called NeuTouch that copy's humans neural network to provide neuromorphic processing for robotic's systems. This should help them with easy sensing functionality, including whats's needed for touching and holding things and maniuplate iteam's in a way that it copy's human reaction.Robots with this Neutouch still don't have a good sense of touch but it still can touch things, it just depends on the texture of the thing it's touching and the physical development of the robot.

It is almost scary to think that only 15 years ago, robots were mostly used in assembly lines, and now they are being equipped with the ability to feel. Soon enough they just might be human enough to be considered people.
